It is a privately owned college of Education that specializes in grooming young students into becoming well-trained teachers. Thus, it aims to meet both present and future needs for eligible teachers in primary, secondary, and other levels of education.
Similarly, the institution has an affiliation with Adekunle Ajasin University in Akungba Akoko. This was consolidated with the Memorandum of Understanding signed by both institutions to have a sort of joint responsibility in producing unique graduates. Presently, there are 5 schools/faculties in Yewa Central College of Education, which are across the three campuses present in the institution.
