Brief History of the Olabisi Onabanjo University

The Olabisi Onabanjo University was formerly known as Ogun State University (OSU). The name was only changed in honor and rememoration of the late Ogun state governor who contributed to the establishment of the institution. The name was changed on 29th May 2001. OOU is situated in the Ogun state in Southwestern Nigeria. It also has two State-funded Universities of which the Olabisi Onabajo university is one. 

Similarly, OOU has many campuses within the state with its main campus in Ago-Iwoye in Ogun State. For this reason, the school is regularly referred to as Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye. Since its inception, OOU has consistently received tons of applications from students across the country. The school has successfully produced many notable personalities in the country.

Today, OOU currently has a student capacity of over 12,000 students across their campuses of which over 1700 are postgraduate students. The University has a teaching hospital with state-of-the-art facilities associated with their medical fields of study. Admission Processing Guide for the Olabisi Onabanjo University

To get admitted into Olabisi Onabanjo University, applicants must ensure they’ve gotten their O’level results ready. Likewise, you must ensure that you have at least a passing score in 5 relevant courses in your field of study. This must include Mathematics and English and in not more than two sittings.

Before considering applying for OOU admission screening, be sure that you meet the criteria above. How to Pay OOU School Fees/Acceptance Fees?

Medical screening usually commences during the admission clearance period in the school. Then, the students will be guided properly on how the medical screening would hold.

No, you cannot get admitted into OOU. You can not even enroll for the admission screening test as the minimum score eligible to enter for the OOU admission screening test is 180.
