Just understand and adhere to all their requirements and you’re good to go. Luckily enough, everything you need to know about this is explained below.

#1. SCCE Requirements

  • First and foremost, candidates who wish to apply for admission into Federal Polytechnic, Bida must first undertake the WAEC/NECO/NABTEB examination (or its equivalent) from which they obtain at least 5 credit passes relevant to the intended course of study. The credit passes must be obtained in not less than two sittings.
  • To ensure that you don’t run into errors regarding the right subject combination, visit WAEC SUBJECT REQUIREMENT.

#2. JAMB Requirements

  • In addition to obtaining an O’Level certificate, it is mandatory that the candidate register and write the JAMB examination. In the course of JAMB registration, the candidate is expected to score at least the minimum JAMB cut-off stipulated by the institution. Then, there would also be a cut-off mark announced for admission into each department.
  • Furthermore, the candidate must take note of the subject combination for the intended course of study while registering for JAMB. This has been discussed in the early post made on JAMB. Hence, visit JAMB to view the subject combinations for all courses.

#3. PUTME Requirements

  • Typically, sitting for JAMB and WAEC examinations alone won’t be sufficient to gain admission into Federal Polytechnic, Bida. As a result, there is a need to undertake the PUTME exam organized by the institution.
  • In this exam, it is necessary to score relatively high. This would give you an edge over other applicants. To know more about PUTME, visit HERE.

Note: scoring very high is not an assurance that you will be admitted into the Polytechnic. However, this would increase the candidate’s chance of gaining admission into the school.
