Covenant University is a Private University founded and established with the sole aim not just to produce great academicians; but also refining and prepare individuals to become spiritual and moral giants. Actually, Covenant University is affiliated with Living Faith Church Worldwide and was founded by Dr. David Oyedepo, the Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide. The eve of her establishment dates back to late 1999; precisely by November 1999, when the consortium was inaugurated to see to her founding. In the same token, an application form for a private University License was issued to the proprietor by the NUC in that same year.
Furthermore, it is worth noting that by 16th January 2002, the Federal Government had already approved the application for the establishment of the Covenant University. By 12th February, that same year, a Committee from the National Universities Commission (NUC) came presenting an operating License in favor of the University establishment. Hence, this gave her (Covenant University) the autonomy to operate as a University and award her own degrees. The institution started on 21st October 2002.

Requirements and Processes Involved in Admission into Covenant University
Basically, any candidate seeking admission into Covenant University is obliged to obtain at least 5 credit passes from either SSCE, GCE, O’ LEVEL, NECO, or NABTEB or its equivalence. Importantly, the five (5) credit passes must be obtained in not more than two (2) sittings.
Having scaled through this juncture, the candidate is expected to apply for and write JAMB. This can be done through the JAMB link In the course of the JAMB application, it is expected of the candidate to take note of the relevant subject combinations bearing in mind the proposed or intended course of study and also the proposed university of interest.
Note that, as one of the criteria to be considered for admission, the candidate must put Covenant University as the first choice during JAMB/UTME registration. Otherwise, the candidate may not stand the chance for his/her application to be reviewed. After sitting for the JAMB and obtaining a good score, the candidate should go straight to the SCHOOL SITE to apply for PUTME.
