Brief History of The University of Ilorin

The University of Ilorin was one of the seven institutions established in August 1975 under the decree of the Federal Government of Nigeria. It was established to fill in gap for more tertiary institutions as a vital tool for promoting the nation’s economy. Initially, the institution was affiliated with the famous University of Ibadan as a University College of the University and located on the Land.
